We invite a Principal Test Automation Engineer with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a proven leadership mindset to join our team and drive a strategic Center of Excellence (CoE) initiative for a global provider of payment technology and financial solutions. In this high-impact role, you’ll serve as a strategic leader and quality advocate, shaping the future of QA automation across the organization. You’ll define QA strategy, establish automation standards, drive innovation, and mentor teams to advance quality excellence and develop the next generation of QA leaders.

βœ… Is that you?

  • 7+ years in automation testing with enterprise-level QA strategy, governance, and metrics-driven planning
  • Proven experience leading teams, mentoring senior AQA engineers, and conducting tech assessments
  • Ability to translate business goals into technical QA solutions and measure the ROI of automation initiatives
  • Deep understanding of the full SDLC, product implementation, and client/user needs balancing
  • Expert proficiency in test automation architecture, design patterns, and frameworks across multiple approaches (keyword-, data-, TDD, BDD, hybrid)
  • Strong programming/scripting skills with adaptability across languages and tools
  • Hands-on experience in web, mobile, and API testing, performance/load testing, security testing, and application architecture evaluation
  • Proficiency with databases, ORM tools, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and IaaS practices
  • Practical knowledge of the test automation pyramid and its application across projects
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Strong mentorship, coaching, and team development experience
  • Skill in conflict resolution, facilitation, and promoting adoption of standards and best practices
  • Proactivity, ownership, accountability, and strategic thinking
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Desirable:

  • Experience contributing to internal or external QA communities
  • Experience creating company-level documentation, guidelines, and e-learning materials
  • Track record of cross-project supervision and case studies
  • Skill in building and presenting architecture overviews
  • Experience fostering long-term client relationships

🧩Key responsibilities and your contribution

  • Build and lead the QA Center of Excellence, establishing strategy, governance, and quality standards
  • Define and enforce company-wide QA automation frameworks, quality gates, and best practices
  • Conduct audits, maturity assessments, and cross-project evaluations to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Architect and implement automation frameworks for functional, non-functional, and end-to-end testing
  • Design testing strategies across multiple projects, selecting appropriate tools, approaches, and automation paradigms
  • Proactively identify automation opportunities and recommend solutions across projects and products
  • Evaluate system and application architectures, performance, reliability, and security; provide improvement recommendations
  • Advise teams on complex technical decisions, translating business challenges into QA solutions
  • Lead and mentor senior AQA engineers, promoting adoption of CoE practices and continuous improvement
  • Drive AI-powered QA initiatives, leveraging metrics and KPIs to measure automation ROI and effectiveness
  • Collaborate and influence multiple teams and stakeholders to implement CoE practices organization-wide
  • Contribute actively to the QA community through knowledge sharing, documentation, onboarding, and best-practice case studies
