We invite a skilled Test Engineer with robust automation expertise to join our Warsaw-based QA team. In this role, you’ll contribute to a new project in the Point of Sale domain, collaborating with a leading payments technology company. You’ll ensure our applications meet organizational standards and user requirements through thorough testing, automation, and continuous process improvements.

✅ Is that you?
- 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proficiency in Java with experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Strong skills in writing automated tests for web, Android, and APIs
- Extensive experience with automation, CI, and version control tools (Appium, Jenkins, Git)
- Proficiency in JavaScript for web testing and automation
- Knowledge of BDD, Gherkin, and Cucumber
- Experience with Jira, qTest, Postman, SoapUI, Soap Sonar, SQL Profiler, Putty
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Desirable:
- POS or Bankcard industry knowledge
- Experience with iOS automation
- ISTQB Certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and ALM tools
🧩Key responsibilities and your contribution
In this role, you will design and execute test strategies, identify defects, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously enhance test automation quality and compliance.
- Perform online, batch, and verification testing after migration
- Design tests and define strategies based on complex project requirements
- Perform risk analysis for integrated system testing
- Recommend design improvements for efficiency, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with stakeholders on more intricate test plans, conditions, and cases
- Implement best practices for test data conditioning and execution
- Set up account conditions and execute special test requirements with development teams
- Document, track, and resolve test/defect reports
- Ensure compliance with payment card industry and security standards
- Design and maintain automated tests using Java, Gherkin, and Cucumber
- Integrate automated tests into the build process using Jenkins to drive CI/CD practices
