We invite a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with strong Java expertise to join our team. You’ll help us build a Transaction Routing Simulator leveraging an existing Real-Time Routing solution. This transaction simulator API will utilize provider data to optimize transaction routing paths and maximize cost savings for a number of large merchants, including popular chains of convenience stores.

βœ… Is that you?

  • 3+ years of commercial Java development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (preferably GCP)
  • Strong understanding of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Upper-Intermediate English level
  • Initiative, motivation, proactivity, and accountability
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Effective team and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Experience working in large corporate environments and being part of dynamic teams

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in DevOps principles and practices, experience in basic tasks
  • BigQuery and Apache Spark experience
  • Working knowledge of ETL Pipelines
  • Knowledge of BI framework (Looker, MS Power BI)
  • React.js skills

🧩Key responsibilities and your contribution

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the team’s backend development efforts, ensuring our applications are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.

  • Develop and maintain Java applications
  • Review code to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria described in user stories/defects, security guidelines, and architectural patterns
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application issues
  • Design database models and data architectures
  • Research and evaluate various software products
  • Assess risks in design/coding decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and regulations
  • Actively participate in team ceremonies (planning, grooming, product demo, retrospectives)
